Or so the results of the latest poll state. Clearly there is room for the results to vary but it’s looking like one of the key problems for Linux is that a high number of Windows users are scared to dual boot.
--ed note: people are only scared because it IS scary. Windows needs to have some files moved around to make it work, it does work, my laptop says so. If you screw it up though, your install is hosed, ouch.
Linux bootloaders will boot Windows if pushed in the right direction. Your windows install is NTFS, so you will need the right drivers to use a Linux live cd to push around your partitions. Once thats done, you can use grub as the bootloader to boot Windows, its fancy.
Or you can use the Windows boot loader to boot linux. Its stranger that way but it works. Any questions about this, drop me a line.
